 Franklin Gunshop, Inc. was founded in 1962 by Clarence and Barbara Franklin as a part-time venture while Clarence was an Athens (Georgia) City Police officer. Their first location was in the basement of their home near the Commerce Highway and the Athens bypass. The company specialized in gun service and gun refinishing, and eventually expanded into retailing of guns and accessories.
Since those days lots of things have changed, but the quality of our service and products is as superb as ever. We now occupy a much larger building and have a much wider variety of goods to meet all of your hunting, fishing, camping and archery needs - and much more!

We now a boast a whole department devoted to game calls, a gun department (with brand names like Browning, Remington, Ruger, Winchester, Weatherby, SKB, Beretta, Smith & Wesson, Sig-Sauer, Sako, Kimber, and Marlin), over 5,000 square feet devoted to clothing (with lines from Browning, Remington, Carhartt, 10-X, Walls, Filson, and Hodgman), and a fishing department with over 1000 rods on display and every other fishing item imaginable.
